FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Cooperative Extension announces the August 2024 Better Living Series workshops. All August workshops will be held at the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension office, located at 301 East Mountain Drive in Fayetteville. Early registration is encouraged as space is limited. Registration and fees must be received prior to the workshops.
Everyday Mediterranean Cooking will be held Aug. 7. Mediterranean dishes can be healthy and fun. Join Cooperative Extension in preparing a salad, main dish and dessert that is a family-friendly flavor combination. Registration and the $15 fee are due by Aug. 2. Composting for Beginners will be held Aug. 21, at two different times, from 12 – 1:30 p.m. or 6:30 – 8 p.m. Composting is an important skill for any home gardener. This class is geared for the novice composter, and will teach you how to turn your home trash into a garden treasure. Registration and the $10 fee are due by Aug. 16.
