Persons who wish to speak at a public hearing before the Board of Commissioners must sign up prior to commencement of the meeting by submitting the form below, by phone at 910-678-7771, by fax at 910-678-7770, or by email at .
The sign-up sheet will also be available 15 minutes before the start of the meeting.
For all public hearings except those held for rezoning cases and those conducted as quasi-judicial proceedings, the time limit for each speaker shall be three minutes. For public hearings on rezoning cases, the total time limit shall be ten minutes
for the proponent side and ten minutes for the opponent side, broken up into three minutes for each speaker or five minutes for a speaker representing a group. If there is only one speaker, he/she may use five minutes. For any public hearing
conducted as a quasi-judicial proceeding, those persons for whom the Board has found standing to speak shall be allowed sufficient time to present relevant and material testimony. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to limit the length of
public hearings to avoid redundant or repetitive comment or testimony. No electronic media presentations will be permitted in public hearings except those presented by County staff or a consultant hired by the County.
Meetings of the Board are held in Room 118 of the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Cumberland County Courthouse located at 117 Dick Street in Fayetteville unless otherwise specified by the Board of Commissioners.
