Current Tax Bill
You may make partial payments on your tax bill any time prior to the delinquency date. Please mail partial payments to: Cumberland County Tax Collector, PO Box 449, Fayetteville, NC 28302-0449 and include your tax bill number with the payment.
You may choose to set up a formal payment plan to pay your tax bill in full prior to the delinquency date. Please contact the Tax Collections Department at 910-678-7507 or email . Include your name, telephone number, and billing information. Please do not wait for the bill to become delinquent to inquire on payment plans. Options become limited after delinquency.
Delinquent Tax Bill
All delinquent accounts not under a formal payment plan are subject to enforced collection at any time without further notice. Collection fees will be added if enforcement action is taken.
To apply for a payment plan on a delinquent tax bill, you must contact the Tax Collections Department at 910-678-7507 or by email . Please include your name, telephone number, and billing information.
Pre-paying Your Real Estate or Personal Property Tax Bill
Pre-payments on the 2025 property taxes for real estate and personal property may be made starting January 2, 2025. Pre-payments can be paid online, by phone, or in-person. (IMPORTANT: Initial pre-payment must be paid in person or by mail for each account prepaying in order to create preliminary bill).
To pay in person, go to Room 527 on the fifth floor of the Courthouse located at 117 Dick St., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Send pre-payments by mail to: Cumberland County Tax Collector, PO Box 449, Fayetteville, NC 28302-0449. Please write "Pre-pay" along with your tax bill number on the memo line. Pre-payments cannot be paid online, by phone, or in person with a debit/credit card or by electronic check.
