Cumberland County Purchasing Division strives to provide an opportunity for all businesses to participate in all aspects of the County’s contracting programs, including but not limited to, the procurement of construction, goods and services. The County operates in a hybrid (centralized and decentralized) procurement environment.
- County departments utilize procurement cards for small purchases less than $1,000.
- County departments may solicit quotes directly from businesses for goods and services that value less than $30,000.
- Informal and Formal Bid procedures are used to purchase goods, services, repair, and construction (when applicable). The amount of time required to process an order varies, but routine purchases should be complete within three (3) working days.
Tax Information:
Cumberland County does pay sales tax. The tax amount is not on the purchase order, but the vendor should show the tax amount as a separate line on the invoice.
