GENERAL ELECTION - NOVEMBER 5, 2024

Important Election Dates
Date	Description
September 06	Absentee ballots will be mailed out, 60 days prior to the date of Statewide General Election. Voters may request an absentee ballot now. The online portal is open to request a ballot https://www.ncsbe.gov/voting/vote-mail
October 11	Voter Registration Books Close 5:00 pm. 25 days before election day
October 17	In Person Early Voting Begins. Not later than the 3rd Thursday before an election
October 29	Last Day to request an Absentee ballot to be sent by mail. No later than 5:00 pm on the Tuesday before the election
October 30	Late absentee requests allowed due to sickness or physical disability.
November 02 (Sat)	In Person Early Voting Ends at 3:00 pm. The last Saturday before the election.
November 04	Last Day to request Late absentee due to sickness or physical disability at 5:00pm
November 05	All Absentee ballots must be received in our office no later than 7:30 pm. This applies to hand delivered or by mail service.
