Homelessness has a significant impact on millions of people nationwide, not only affecting those experiencing it, but their communities as well. As the lead agency in the Fayetteville/Cumberland County Continuum of Care (CoC) on Homelessness, Cumberland County Community Development remains committed to supporting the goals of our community toward preventing and significantly reducing homelessness.
As we move toward a more proactive “Housing First” model – a model that is supportive of providing permanent housing with wraparound supportive services where needed – we look to our partner agencies and the community for support in addressing the needs of our homeless. This model, when combined with a coordinated intake assessment program, will help the community to allocate assistance as effectively as possible and engage in meaningful change.
