The Cumberland County Cares award recognizes volunteers in Cumberland County.
Cumberland County Commissioners launched a county-wide initiative known as “Cumberland County Cares” in 2007 to spotlight individuals,
groups or agencies and to publicly thank and acknowledge their contributions.
Citizens may nominate an individual, group or agency that has had a positive effect on the community through their volunteer efforts.
Individuals should complete a nomination form and include a description of work the volunteer, group or agency does.
A committee of three citizens familiar with caring efforts in the community will select winning nominees to receive the “Cumberland County Cares” award to
be presented at a regular meeting of the County Commissioners held on the third Monday of the month at 6:45 p.m.
