Code Enforcement

Code Enforcement works to enhance the appearance of our communities and maintain standards of living across Cumberland County. The Code Enforcement section enforces and investigates zoning, minimum housing and junked vehicle complaints. It is also responsible for issuing Zoning Permits and ensuring compliance with zoning regulations.  Code Enforcement Officers promote a healthy and safe environment for citizens and visitors by handling a variety of requests including:

• Houses or buildings that do not meet the Minimum Housing and Abandoned Structures Code.
• Abandoned, Nuisance, and Junked Motor Vehicles.
• Land use that is not consistent with the Cumberland County Zoning Ordinance.
