Per North Carolina General Statutes, all child support payments are paid to North Carolina Child Support Centralized Collections (NCCSCC). NCCSCC uses an automated system that efficiently collects, processes and tracks child support payments.
Recipients of some public assistance programs will not receive child support as those payments go to the state to reimburse any assistance received on the child(ren)’s behalf.
Non-Public Assistance clients may elect to receive payments by direct deposit to their checking or savings account or through the SMIONE NCKIDSCARD program.
Federal and State Law require the Child Support Agency to assess an annual fee of $35 for Child Support services on each case after $550 is collected and distributed to the family within the fiscal year.
