Chairman of the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners Inducted as Honorary Commander

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – On Friday, Sept. 13, Cumberland County Board of Commissioners Chairman Glenn Adams was inducted as an Honorary Commander by the 43rd Air Mobility Operations Group (AMOG) Commander, Colonel Allen C. Morris Jr. Chairman Adams was among five civic leaders inducted at the Honorary Commanders Induction Ceremony.

The Honorary Commander Program pairs leaders from the local community with Air Force Commanders to exchange knowledge and expertise about their communities. The intent of this program is to develop and strengthen relationships between civilian leaders that will benefit the military community as well as the local community. As an inductee, Chairman Adams was assigned a squadron within the 43rd AMOG and will serve as an Honorary Commander for the next two years. During these two years, duties as an Honorary Commander will include attending squadron meetings and engagement opportunities, advocating for the community, and providing insight on Cumberland County to military partners.

"Being inducted as an Honorary Commander is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with our service members and act as a bridge between the military and Cumberland County," said Chairman Glenn Adams. "I am excited to embark on this journey. Together, we can continue to strengthen our community."
