County To Hold Saturday Vaccination Clinic March 20

The Cumberland County Department of Public Health will hold a drive-thru clinic for first dose COVID-19 vaccinations for Groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 on Saturday, March 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Crown Complex. Saturday vaccinations are by appointment only. The Health Department will open appointment slots beginning at 5 p.m. today.

To make an appointment, go to co.cumberland.nc.us/covid19vaccine or call (910) 678-7657 if you need assistance making an appointment or have questions about the COVID-19 vaccine. The Crown Expo Center is at 1960 Coliseum Dr., Fayetteville. Vaccinations will be scheduled in four blocks: 9 – 11 a.m., 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., 1 – 3 p.m., 3 – 4 p.m.

Group 4 Vaccinations
Effective March 17, the Health Department will begin vaccinating individuals eligible in Group 4 (individuals with higher risk medical conditions and additional congregate settings). Group 4 individuals will be able to schedule their appointment after 5 p.m. today. Medical conditions listed for Group 4 include asthma, cancer, cerebrovascular disease or history of stroke, chronic kidney disease, COPD, cystic fibrosis, Diabetes Type 1 or 2, sickle cell disease, HIV, obesity, homelessness and more. Eligible individuals in Groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 may now schedule their own appointment. Individuals who are currently not eligible should not request an appointment at this time.

If you are eligible and unable to schedule an appointment at this time, please consider using the standby lane for first doses on Fridays between 3 and 5 p.m. Doses are allocated each week for the standby lane. Eligible individuals without an appointment are able to use the standby lane on Fridays.

County Clinics
Cumberland County continues to offer free drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination clinics for those in Groups 1, 2, 3 and 4. An online application form now allows individuals to choose their own appointment date and time for the first dose of the vaccine.

Appointments are available on Tuesdays (second dose only) and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A standby lane (first-come, first served in eligible groups) opens on Fridays, from 3 to 5 p.m., or as supplies last.

No Clinic April 2
There will NOT be a vaccine clinic on Friday, April 2. County offices will be closed. Individuals due for their second dose have been scheduled for the following week.
