Cumberland County will hold a Contractor Information Session for contractors and subcontractors interested in participating in the construction of the Crown Event Center on Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. in the first-floor conference room of the Department of Social Services, 1225 Ramsey St.
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County will hold a Contractor Information Session for contractors and subcontractors interested in participating in the construction of the Crown Event Center, a new multipurpose event center that will replace the existing Crown Theatre and Arena.
The County will host an in-person information session for local, regional and national construction industry companies to learn about the Crown Event Center project and make connections to form teams to respond to future construction services solicitations. The session will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at 10 a.m. in the first-floor meeting room of the Cumberland County Department of Social Services, located at 1225 Ramsey St., Fayetteville.
The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners approved the use of the Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMaR) project delivery method during their regular meeting on Nov. 21.
According to the project timeline, the County plans to release a CMaR Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in early 2023 with the selection of a CMaR by the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners in March.
