FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Solid Waste is hosting a Cumberland Clean Litter Pick-Up event on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024 from 8 a.m. until noon.

Groups or individuals of all ages are encouraged to participate and clean up litter throughout Cumberland County. Cumberland County Solid Waste employees will then manage the collection and disposal of all trash bags filled by volunteers.

To participate, volunteers are asked to register at www.cumberlandcountync.gov/cumberland-clean or by emailing Tim Middleton at tmidddleton@cumberlandcountync.gov.

All registered volunteers will receive trash bags, gloves, hand sanitizer, water, an event t-shirt, and a reusable bag. Volunteers can either retrieve these items in advance by contacting Tim Middleton at tmidddleton@cumberlandcountync.gov or 910-321-6907, or pick-up items on the day of the event, between 8 - 10 a.m., at the Ann St. Landfill, located at 698 Ann St., Fayetteville. Those who pick up their items in advance can head directly to their chosen cleanup locations.
