Animal Services

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Government offices and the court system will close Friday, April 18, 2025, in observance of Good Friday. Closures include all Solid Waste landfills and container sites, Animal Services and all eight library branches.

Solid Waste

• Landfills and container sites will reopen Saturday, April 19, 2025, for regular operating hours.
• For landfill and container site hours of operation, visit cumberlandcountync.gov/solidwaste.

Animal Services

• Animal Services will be closed Friday through Sunday, April 18 – 20, 2025.

Libraries

• All Cumberland County Public Library branches will close at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2025, and will remain closed through Sunday, April 20, 2025.
