The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners voted to adjust the Budget Meeting Schedule. The Budget Work Session scheduled for May 31 has been rescheduled for June 1. The Budget Public Hearing is June 7 at 7 p.m.
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Following Cumberland County Manager Clarence Grier’s presentation of the recommended Fiscal Year 2024 Budget on Thursday, May 25, the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners voted to adjust the Budget Meeting Schedule.
Commissioners voted to move a scheduled Budget Work Session from Wednesday, May 31 to Thursday, June 1. The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. in Room 564 of the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Cumberland County Courthouse at 117 Dick Street, Fayetteville. The other scheduled Budget meetings remain unchanged.
The following Budget Meeting Schedule has been approved by the Board of Commissioners. All meetings will be held in the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Cumberland County Courthouse.
The Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the proposed budget Wednesday, June 7 at 7 p.m. in Room 118 of the Courthouse. Citizens who wish to comment on the proposed budget during the public hearing must sign up prior to the start of the meeting. A sign-up sheet will be available in the room. Individuals may also call the Clerk to the Board at 910-678-7771 or email atebbe@cumberlandcountync.gov, or sign up on the County’s website at cumberlandcountync.gov/departments/commissioners-group/commissioners/register-to-speak/public-hearings.
Per Statute, Commissioners may adopt the 2024 budget no earlier than 10 days after it is presented.
