District 9 Early Voting Extended to Saturday; EOC and Shelters closed

Due to the disruption in the Congressional District 9 election schedule caused by Hurricane Dorian, the State Board of Elections has extended early voting in Cumberland County to Saturday, Sept. 7.
Due to the disruption in the Congressional District 9 election schedule caused by Hurricane Dorian, the State Board of Elections has extended early voting in Cumberland County to Saturday, Sept. 7.
One-stop voting will be offered Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Board of Elections, 227 Fountainhead Lane, and East Regional Branch Library, 4809 Clinton Road.
District 9 residents may also vote today until 5 p.m. at the Board of Elections office or until 7 p.m. at the East Regional Library.
Tuesday, Sept. 10, is Election Day and polls will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.
EOC and Shelters Closed
The Cumberland County Emergency Operations Center closed at 12 p.m. today and both emergency shelters at Smith Recreation Center and South View High School have closed. Emergency Services and 911 Communications are back to regular day-to-day operations.
