FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Friends of Cumberland County Animals (FOCCAS), a non-profit that supports pets and their owners in Cumberland County, have organized a Christmas meal for the shelter animals on Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. Approximately 75 dogs and 100 cats will enjoy this animal-friendly meal.
The event is not open to the public.
Animal friendly items on the menu include:
- Cooked boneless turkey breast or boneless chicken breast (no whole or frozen turkeys)
- Canned tuna or sardines (NO flavor added – packed in water NOT oil)
- Canned chicken (NO flavor added)
- Sweet potatoes (plain)
- Baby carrots
- Bananas
- Apples
- Applesauce (unsweetened)
