FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Following a recess, the Board of Commissioners convened at 11 a.m. on April 8, 2025, to discuss updates on the Crown Event Center project.
Following a closed session, Chairman Kirk deViere confirmed that the suspension of the project has been lifted, allowing contractors to resume work without any restrictions. Additionally, the Board requested a detailed update on the current status of the Crown Event Center project from the project team.
Chairman deViere said an architectural analysis of the project’s scope and budget was also presented to the Board in closed session. Staff was instructed to provide additional information for further review. A special meeting has been scheduled for Monday, April 14, 2025, at 1 p.m. in Room 118 of the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Cumberland County Courthouse, located at 117 Dick St., Fayetteville, where the Board will receive the requested updates.
