Social Services is accepting applications for the Subsidized Childcare Program in person at their location, 1225 Ramsey St. in Fayetteville.
The Cumberland County Department of Social Services is now accepting applications for the Subsidized Childcare Program in person at their location, 1225 Ramsey St. in Fayetteville.
The Subsidized Childcare Program is federally funded and provides subsidized childcare payments for children to receive care for eligible families based on need and income. The program goal is to enable families to access affordable childcare by providing financial assistance with payments to childcare providers.
Families can choose their own childcare provider. Cumberland County does not make recommendations for providers. However, if you need assistance choosing a quality childcare facility, Partnership for Children (PFC), located at 351 Wagoner Drive in Fayetteville can help parents in this process. Partnership for Children also has the NC Pre-K program which provides free high-quality pre-kindergarten education for families who qualify. For details about these programs and more, call 910-867-9700.
These services are provided for the protection, care, and developmental experiences of children and allow caretakers to maintain employment, participate in job training.
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) Division of Child Development and Early Education recently launched its first online “Early Care and Learning Data Dashboard.” This dashboard is available to the public and contain interactive tables, charts, and maps to encourage users to explore data from Division of Childcare Development Early Education (DCDEE).
