FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County Government Human Resources introduces the 2024 Internship Program for high school juniors and seniors and college students. The theme of the Cumberland County Summer Internship Program is “Ignite: Fueling Passion, Fostering Growth.” June 21 is the deadline to apply.
High School Summer Internship
The 2024 Summer Internship Program is for high school juniors or seniors aged 16 and above in Cumberland County. The program offers a paid internship, mentorship and leadership skills training. High school juniors and seniors can work 20 hours a week, receiving hands-on experience in various career fields.
College Summer Internship
The Internship for college students offers career skills development, hands-on experience, professional networking and post internship opportunities. The internship is open to students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies in an accredited college or university, or recent graduates (within the past 12 months). The tentative internship period is July 8, 2024 – Aug. 16, 2024.
The high school and college internships pay $15 per hour.
