County Offices to Close at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10 Due to Winter Weather

Jan 10, 2025, 09:01 AM by Diane Rice

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Cumberland County government offices will close at 2 p.m. today, Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, due to anticipated inclement winter weather conditions. The closure is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of County employees and the public as winter weather moves into the region.

The County will assess conditions and provide updates as necessary regarding additional closures. White Flag Shelter operations teams will provide their weekend operation schedule soon. Updates will be provided on the County White Flag Shelter webpage, cumberlandcountync.gov/white-flag-shelters.

Winter Safety
Residents are urged to use caution if traveling as roads may become hazardous due to snow, ice, or freezing rain. The North Carolina Department of Transportation advises roads could be slippery, and conditions may deteriorate quickly as temperatures drop.

Those experiencing an emergency should call 9-1-1. For non-emergencies, the public can contact the Cumberland County non-emergency line at 910-600-7299.
