FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Cumberland County Solid Waste Jernigan Site, located at 9221 Giles Rd., Linden, will reopen Monday, Feb. 3. Recent improvements to the site include the removal of a ramp, which enhances traffic flow by providing more space for vehicles and increasing safety.
The Jernigan Site has been closed since September 2024 for construction and improvements. While work is still ongoing, Solid Waste officials ask for the public’s patience as final upgrades continue over the next few weeks.
The Jernigan Site is open during the following hours:
- Monday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Tuesday: 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- Wednesday: Closed
- Thursday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Friday: 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.
