Community Resources for Hurricane Helene Relief
In response to the impact of Hurricane Helene, Cumberland County is committed to supporting our Western North Carolina neighbors in their time of need. This page will provide updated information about ways residents can contribute to relief efforts including financial donations, volunteer opportunities, and donation drop-off locations.
Currently, monetary donations are needed most to assist with recovery efforts. We encourage residents to contribute to the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund to aid communities in their recovery from the storm.
As our community comes together to support those affected by the storm, we ask residents please refrain from sending physical donations or volunteers to Western North Carolina at this time. Instead, we encourage individuals to connect with accredited organizations that are coordinating relief efforts. These organizations are equipped to ensure assistance reaches those in need efficiently and effectively.
All inbound donations must be coordinated in advance with the Multi-Agency Warehouse management team. Individuals or organizations interested in donating items to the MAW should contact the team via phone at 336-810-0661, Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm or via email at warehouseoffice@ncvoad.org.
We thank our community for their generous support. Together, we can support our fellow North Carolinians as they navigate the challenges ahead.
