The filing period for candidates to file for the N.C. State House, N.C. Senate, Register of Deeds and Cumberland County Board of Commissioners District 2 is Dec. 4 - Dec. 15.
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Cumberland County Board of Elections announces the filing period for the 2024 elections for candidates to file for the offices of the N.C. State House of Representatives, N.C. Senate, Cumberland County Register of Deeds and Cumberland County Board of Commissioners District 2 is Monday, Dec. 4, beginning at noon. The deadline to file is noon on Friday, Dec. 15.
Candidates for Superior and District Court should file with the State Board of Elections office, located at the Martin Building, N.C. State Fairgrounds, 4825 Trinity Rd., Gate 9, in Raleigh, N.C. For more information, go to the State Board of Elections website at ncsbe.gov.
The filing periods for seats on the Cumberland County Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors and Cumberland County Board of Education will be held at a later date and additional communication will be sent out prior to those filing periods.
The Partisan Primary Election is March 5, 2024. The General Election is Nov. 5, 2024.
