FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners met for a regular meeting on May 2 in the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Courthouse.
The commissioners received two presentations for information during the meeting. The first was an “Update on the Family Connects Program” presented by Ms. Sharon Moyer, Community Engagement Administrator for the Partnership for Children of Cumberland County. A link to their site was added to the Cumberland County website.
The second was an “Overview of the Opioid Settlement Planning Process” by the Public Health Director, Dr. Jennifer Green. During upcoming Board of Commissioners’ May 12 Agenda Session, Green will seek guidance and feedback concerning the options available for the funds. No action was taken concerning the opioid settlement funds.
Items of business during the meeting were the Consideration of Resolution to Lease Certain Real Property to Coastal Horizons Center, Inc., and Consideration of the Submission of the Program Year 2022 Community Development Annual Action Pian.
The Consideration of Resolution to Lease Certain Real Property was presented by Assistant County Manager Tracy Jackson. This action passed unanimously.
The Consideration of the Submission of the Program Year 2022 Community Development Annual Action Pian was presented by the Community Development Director, Dee Taylor. This action passed unanimously.
