FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Wilkes Road Treatment and Processing Facility will be closed today and Saturday due to a fire at the site that was identified and reported early Friday morning. The fire is contained, and Solid Waste staff are on-site to manage the situation and determine the cause of the fire.
The Wilkes Road Treatment and Processing Facility, located at 771 Wilkes Road in Fayetteville is expected to resume operations Monday at 8 a.m.
